Wonder: Born — Belief

About this curriculum

Three days of paired progression. Six stations. A camp curriculum written for 3rd-6th graders that walks them from the wonder of being born to the wonder of being saved. From the Kidz at Kamp series, produced by Yahtae Publishing Group (© 2018). Job 37:14b: "Stop and consider God's wonders." Use adventure and your sense of wonder to find God — because you were born to believe. Three-day arc: • Day 1 — Baby → Savior · You are wonderfully made (Psalm 139, Genesis 1:27). The most wonderful baby was Jesus (Isaiah 9:6, John 3:16-18). • Day 2 — Blind → Sight · The world has become blind (Mark 10 — Bartimaeus). God gives spiritual sight (Isaiah 9:2). • Day 3 — Buried → Saved · Die to self, bury the crown (Philippians 2:6-8, Luke 9:23, Galatians 2:20). Christ is raised; we are too (Acts 2:31-32). Each day is one volunteer-led Small Group session (~75 minutes) with the digital companion giving campers a private journal moment after the morning small group and again after the evening session. What the camp director gets: • A leader guide for every station, written for the volunteer staffing it (includes the full Lesson Flow: timed Interactions, Transitions, Content, Wrap-Up — verbatim from the curriculum) • Print-ready PDFs for scripture cards (Psalm 139, Isaiah 9:6, Mark 10:51, Acts 2:32, etc.), sealed envelope inserts, and station signage with QR codes • A companion digital journal each camper opens on their phone via QR code — three private writing moments per day, archived to a permanent journal they can claim with an email at the end of camp • Supplies list per day: candy + fingerprint kit (Day 1), blindfolds + paper (Day 2), newspaper + shovel + sticks + string (Day 3) • Connective Discussion Questions — 10 per day for the small group volunteer to weave in

The Sessions

What you'll walk through.

  1. 01

    Baby

    SCRIPTURE · GENESIS 1:27

God has made each of us unique. Every fingerprint, every eye color, every taste bud is the wonder of God's creation showing up in you. You were knit together on purpose, and you are wonderfully complex.

  2. 02

    Savior

    SCRIPTURE · JOHN 3:16-18

What is even more wonderful than this is Jesus came as a baby into God's creation to become our Savior. Jesus had fingerprints. He had unique eye color. He was taller than some and shorter than others. He was God and also a baby who grew like us — and he was our Savior.

  3. 03

    Blind

    SCRIPTURE · MARK 10:46-48

Through sin the world has become blind. Sometimes we can't see because something is physically in the way. Sometimes we can't see because we don't want to. Today's small group made you write blindfolded, follow voices blindfolded, choose blindfolded — to feel what it's like when sight is gone.

  4. 04

    Sight

    SCRIPTURE · MARK 10:49-52

God can open our eyes and let us see the Kingdom. We were sighted when we were born, but spiritually blind when we sinned. The true sense of wonder isn't just that God gave us sight when we were born — it's that God gives us spiritual sight when we have true faith in Him.

  5. 05

    Buried

    SCRIPTURE · PHILIPPIANS 2:6-8

God has made each of us a unique person, but we can be blind to what God wants of us. We must embrace the uniqueness God has in us by removing the uniqueness we want to have in the world. Today you made yourself a crown. You crowned yourself King or Queen for the day. Then you wrote one thing on it that you don't want anymore — and you buried it.

  6. 06

    Saved

    SCRIPTURE · GALATIANS 2:20

Where is your life focused? Jesus created you as a wonder of God, but the greatest wonder is that he joined us and became our Savior. Our sin brought death to people, but the death of Christ brings us a wonderful gift of life with God. You buried a crown. Tonight Christ is raised, and so are you.
