Privacy Policy

Yahtae Publishing Group (“Yahtae,” “we,” or “us”) publishes curriculum and experiences for churches, group leaders, camp pastors, and their members. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign in we collect your email address and (optionally) your name. We use this to identify you, send magic-link sign-in emails, and let group leaders or camp organizers know who is in their group.

Curriculum activity. When you participate in a curriculum we store what you write in your journal, the MOVE entries you submit, and which sessions you've viewed or completed. Your journal entries are private to you and to the group leader you've chosen to join (if any).

Payment information. We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your card number or CVV. We do receive a confirmation of purchase, the amount, and a reference token (so we can find your order later). See Stripe's privacy policy.

Camp participant data. Camp organizers can use Yahtae's public camp surface (e.g. /c/[code]) without an account. We store a first name the participant types and any journal text they choose to write. We do not require an email address at camp; if a participant chooses to claim their journal after camp, we then store their email so we can send them a link to it.

What we do with it

  • Operate the service — sign you in, show you your library, save your journal.
  • Send transactional email — sign-in links, MOVE reminders, group invites, camp claim links.
  • Send SMS (only if you opt in) — MOVE reminders for men's and small-group curriculum.
  • Aggregate, anonymized analytics about how curriculum is used (e.g. how many camps ran Wonder this summer). We never include your name or journal text in these aggregates.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How we share it

We share data only with the service providers we use to run Yahtae:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email
  • Twilio — SMS reminders (if you've opted in)
  • Neon — encrypted database hosting
  • Vercel — web hosting

Each of these is bound by their own privacy commitments to process data only on our behalf.

Children

Some of our curriculum (Wonder, children's camp packs) is designed for use with children ages 8 and up. Yahtae does not require children to create an account, give an email address, or provide any personally-identifying information beyond a first name of their own choosing. Camp organizers are responsible for any consent they collect from parents before running camp.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to delete your account and all your journal entries — email hello@yahtae.com.
  • You can export your journal as a PDF at any time from /app/journal.
  • You can opt out of SMS reminders at any time from your account.
